Razorfish Hong Kong Showcases Mobile Smarts, Collecting Four Mob-Ex Awards

February 9, 2015 Razorfish, the world leader in helping global brands drive business transformation, today celebrates a four-trophy haul from the 2015 Mob Ex Awards, Hong Kong’s premier event celebrating mobile marketing excellence. The team’s business transformational work for clients including Nike Hong Kong and P&G’s Pampers secured two Gold Mob-Ex Awards, one Silver Mob-Ex Award and a Bronze Mob-Ex Award.

According to organisers Marketing, a publication of Lighthouse Independent Media, the annual Mob-Ex Awards focuses on innovative and effective campaigns, apps, and related mobile marketing projects. The Mob-Ex Awards recognise leadership in the huge growth arena of mobile marketing. A gala event was held on Saturday 7th February at Hotel Icon in Hong Kong, where the Razorfish team collected their four Mob-Ex trophies.

Mums know that play is important for their babies, but they aren’t always confident of how play is contributing to their baby’s development. The team decided to give mum a new perspective on her baby’s development: to show Mum the world from her baby’s eyes, helping her understand, first hand, how her baby develops through play. Razorfish took interactive technology used in the video gaming industry, and transferred the experience to mobile, creating a 360-degree panoramic view of a home, from the eyes of a crawling baby. Mum could pan and tilt her phone left, right, up and down to emulate her crawling child exploring the space around him. More than 150,000 mums in Hong Kong and Taiwan visited the experience, and more than ten times the amount from 2013 were converted to trial Pampers.

Did you know Hong Kong has sneaker speculators? Sneakers are hot property in our city, shoe speculators used to be present at every Nike product release, until Razorfish created Nike Locker Room. The team were tasked to connect with and recruit true sneaker enthusiasts in Hong Kong, to cut out the speculators, and allow Nike to engage, via mobile, with their community by placing their products directly in the hands of their true target market. The campaign was so powerful sneaker speculators are a thing of the past for Nike Hong Kong, ensuring Nike remains the aspirational and inspiring brand we all know it to be.
