Nigel Vaz

CEO EMEA & APAC, Publicis.Sapient London

About Nigel Vaz

I lead the Publicis.Sapient business across the EMEA and APAC regions, where I’m responsible for developing and executing business strategy and identifying market opportunities to support company growth. Additionally, I serve as Global President of DigitasLBi.

The company’s vision, to partner with clients to help them realize a better future for their business and improve their customers’ lives, is something I believe in passionately. I make sure that I work closely with clients and teams to help deliver transformative experiences and business models that make a significant impact on the success of leading global brands, including Marks & Spencer, Sky, RBS/NatWest, Lufthansa, Unilever, BNP Paribas, L’Oreal and Fiat Chrysler.

I’ve held a variety of leadership positions with Sapient prior to its acquisition by Publicis Groupe, where I now serve as a member of the Executive Committee.

I’m proud to have been a part of Sapient’s European business from the very start, and to have helped grow our business into one of the largest agencies in the UK from a startup a decade ago — as well as to have led Sapient’s expansion beyond the UK to be a significant presence across Europe and Asia.

My roots are in business strategy, where I have always helped clients to build businesses and create sustainable value propositions for their brands by operating at the intersection of strategic thinking, creativity and technology. Prior to Sapient, I co-founded a public company with interests in telecoms, consulting and connectivity solutions and I have been a key advisor for a number of companies including AT&T/Cingular, McKinsey and Company, Orange, Siemens, Telkom SA, Verizon Wireless and Vodafone.

In the wider industry, I am an elected member on the IPA Council (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising), a Fellow of The Marketing Society where I also serve as Director on its Management Board, and an inductee of BIMA’s Digital Hall of Fame (British Interactive Marketing Association).
